For the past 3 years (2007-2009) we have run a Ultimate program with 240 high school scholars during the schools winter break. Ultimate was introduced to the program by James Lambert 2 years ago when he was a student at Wits. It has been great to see how inclusive Ultimate has been as a co-ed sport over the past three years. The girls have been just as competitve as the guys (if not more skilled and better tactically!).
Ultimate served as part of the phys-ed time. Every year the phys-ed time culminated in an ultimate tournament, which the kids really enjoyed. Thanks to everyone who helped with the program: James Lambert, Richard Lay, Marc Lewis, Baden Dowie, Mfundo Sithole, Dyllan Wallet, Luisa Nardini and Jon Linde.
