Johannesburg Ultimate (literally) rocked the Cape Town fields at nationals this year. The Ultitude team tore through their opposition, heading undefeated into the final match against the formidable Cape Town Chillies. Sadly, the Chilies’ strong technical skills and endurance outlasted Ultitude’s and they lost in the final to take second place overall. The Disco team, a joint effort from Jozi and Mozambique, wowed their competition with unrivalled dancing and songwriting skills. By the second day they were wowing them with disk skills as well, losing to the Cape Town Disk Doctors by just one point in overtime and going on to defeat the Maties from Stellenbosch. They dominated the spirit competition and took home that prize (as well as being the acknowledged winners of the party Saturday night)!
In the end a great time was had by all and we look forward to hosting everyone for Rocktober!
