Ultitude contributed 7 players to the South African Mixed Team (called Mzansi Marakas or Trouble from the South) competing at the World Ultimate & GUTS Championships hosted in Osaka, Japan from 7-14 July 2012. The team played against ten cosmopolitan teams including Columbia, Finnland, Japan, the US, Hong Kong and Russia, and others.
The team comprised of members from the Western Cape, KZN, Gauteng, Eastern Cape and the States, who played very well despite the lack of previous game time together.
The camaraderie, mutual support and commitment were exceptional. All the teams in the huddles after the games noted our good spirit, friendliness and positivity.
The team was awarded the Spirit of the Game prize for the Mixed division - medals that they received with pride.
